*Started wrestling in 1983 for Holtville Takedown Club
*1997- Graduated from Holtville High School and Joined U.S Army. Member of the 2/75 Ranger Battalion
* 1998 Wrestled in Western Corridor Military Wrestling Championships placing 3rd.
* 1999 Brief stint with all army Wrestling team.
*2000- Attended Palomar College
*2003 – Graduated from California State San Marcos with a degree in Social Sciences.
*2004 – Earned Teaching Credential in Physical Education
*2005- Earned Master’s Degree in Education
*2006 -Earned Teaching Credential in Mild/Moderate Special Education Math
